Nashville's Chris Mason Leads the Race for the Bank of America Roger Crozier Saving Grace Award

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 1, 2007 -- For the third consecutive month, Chris Mason of the Nashville Predators tops the NHL leader board in the race to capture the 2006-07 Bank of America Roger Crozier Saving Grace Award. Splitting time with teammate Tomas Vokoun, Mason has posted a save percentage of .928, stopping 1018 of 1097 shots in games through February 28. Martin Brodeur of the New Jersey Devils remains a close second at .926.

The award is named for late NHL goaltender Roger Crozier, who compiled a 206-197-70 record, a goals-against average of 3.04 and 30 shutouts in 518 career games over 14 seasons. His career was highlighted by a Calder Trophy as the NHL's top rookie in 1965 and a Conn Smythe Trophy for his MVP performance in the 1966 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Following his hockey career, Crozier joined MBNA in 1983, which is now a part of Bank of America and, as Director of Facility Management, was responsible for managing the company's rapid physical expansion at that time. He passed away on January 11, 1996.

Bank of America is a valued partner of the NHL and is a supporter of League events, including the NHL All-Star Game and NHL Entry Draft. Bank of America is one of the world's largest financial institutions, serving individual consumers, small and middle market businesses and large corporations with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk-management products and services.
