National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC-WMAC) Partners With Skanska to Present "Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Tri-Service Industry Outreach Forum" on March 14th

Opening Session Led by Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) and Congressman Albert R. Wynn (D-MD)

WASHINGTON, DC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 9, 2007 --

WHO:    The National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC-WMAC)
        is partnering with construction giant Skanska to host the
        "Base Realignment and Closure Tri-Service Industry Outreach
        Forum" to provide information to small and minority businesses
        for bidding on the 5-Year, $7 Billion Military Construction
        Workload Contracts for the United States Army Corps of
        Engineers (USACE) (Baltimore District), NAVY and Air Force.

        Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) and Congressman
        Albert E. Wynn (D-MD) will support their efforts by presenting
        an overview at the Opening Session. The Forum will provide
        industry-specific information followed by presentations by the
        Army, Navy, Air Force, and US Small Business Administration.

WHAT:   The BRAC Tri-Service Industry Outreach Forum will be held on
        Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Capitol Hilton Hotel in
        Washington, DC from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00p.m.

        The Navy, Army and Air Force (Tri-Service) have executed a
        strategy to meet their $7 Billion military construction
        program goals by 2011.  The strategy includes sharing
        information between their programs and the industry.
        NAMC-WMAC and Skanska will assist small and minority businesses
        in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area to participate in this
        significant construction initiative.

WHY:    NAMC-WMAC and Skanska will share a comprehensive overview of
        the 5-Year, $7 Billion Military and BRAC Construction Workload
        (2007-20011) to prime contractors, minority contractors, small
        businesses, 8A-certified businesses, HBZone businesses,
        MDOT-certified businesses, among others. Their goal is to
        provide an opportunity for prime contractors and subcontractors
        to form alliances to meet the Federal subcontracting
        requirements, to address the potential shortage of qualified
        labor, to provide technical assistance for businesses and to
        obtain federal certification and to respond to project-specific
        questions. NAMC -WMAC and Skanska are committed to managing local
        and minority participation on major development projects.
