National Bank Commercial Banking Golf Tournament Nets $60,000 for Nine Non-Profit Organizations

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 17, 2005) - Nine non-profit organizations shared the $60,000 raised during the golf tournament organized by National Bank Commercial Banking's Specialized Financing Group on August 15, 2005.

The following organizations and foundations received a donation:



- The Diabetic Children's Foundation (Quebec)
- Quebec Society for Disabled Children
- Fondation Gisele Faubert
- Hebrew Academy
- Jeunes Entreprises du Quebec
- Welcome Hall Mission
- Projet Anne-Marie Ledoux
- Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada
- Tecsys Foundation for Youth


Some 300 participants, for the most part National Bank clients, took part in this 13th annual golf tournament. The event was held at the prestigious Saint-Raphael Golf Club on Ile Bizard and was attended by several members of the Bank's senior management, including Tony Meti, Senior Vice-President - Commercial Banking and International, Pierre Dubreuil, Senior Vice-President - Greater Montreal and Southern Quebec, and David Pinsonneault, Vice-President - Commercial Banking.

National Bank is proud to be able to support the activities of these nine organizations through its tournament.

In 2004, the Bank and its subsidiaries, through corporate donations, sponsorships, in-branch fundraising activities and various benefit events, gave $12 million to hundreds of Canadian education, health care, cultural and community organizations.
