National Bank Declares Dividends

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Aug. 30, 2012) - National Bank of Canada's (TSX:NA) Board of Directors declares today a dividend on its common shares of $0.79 per common share for the quarter ending October 31, 2012. This dividend will be payable on November 1st, 2012 to holders of record of common shares on September 27, 2012.

The Board of Directors also declares quarterly dividends on the following series of first preferred shares. These dividends are payable on November 15, 2012 to holders of record of first preferred shares on October 12, 2012.
