National Bank Donates $300,000 to Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 23, 2008) - National Bank (TSX:NA) is proud to announce that it is donating $300,000 to Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children, a world leader in children's health, education and research. The Bank's donation is part of the organization's fundraising drive for 2007-2010.

The Bank's donation will be allocated to the Hospital's Centre for Brain & Behaviour to continue its clinical, research and educational activities. The Centre's mission is to advance the integration of research, clinical care, education and outreach to improve the health and quality of life of children who suffer from neurological or psychiatric disorders.

In 2007, the Bank and its subsidiaries, through corporate donations, sponsorships, in-branch fundraising activities and various benefit events, gave more than $20 million to hundreds of Canadian education, health care, cultural and community organizations.
