National Bank is the proud presenting sponsor of WAR HORSE in Canada. The National Theatre of Great Britain production of WAR HORSE is produced by the National Theatre of Great Britain, National Angels, Bob Boyett and David Mirvish.

Based on a novel by Michael Morpurgo, adapted by Nick Stafford in association with Handspring Puppet Company, 6-Tony-Awards winner WAR HORSE will feature an All-Canadian cast and begins performances at the Princess of Wales Theatre on February 10.

"The excellence of this production was lauded in New York, London and elsewhere. Now it's Toronto's turn to embrace War Horse and its captivating story. National Bank is proud to present this world-class production and to invite theatre-goers in Toronto to experience this landmark theatre event," said Lucie Brouillette, National Bank's Marketing Manager.

WAR HORSE, which was created in England in 2008, has opened on Broadway last April and will be presented for the first time in Canada. It is sure to win over spectators here with its innovative production, superior acting and exceptional story. This powerfully moving and imaginative drama, filled with stirring music and songs, is a production of phenomenal inventiveness. At its heart are astonishing life-sized puppets created by South Africa's Handspring Puppet Company, who bring breathing, galloping, charging horses to life on the stage.

Every year, through its donations and sponsorships program and the initiatives of its employees, National Bank helps support hundreds of organizations across Canada. It focuses primarily on four main areas of activity—health, education, arts and culture, and community outreach—with the goal of generating positive benefits for communities.
