National Bank Raises $15,000 at "OSM Eclate" Concert to Benefit the Children Supported by Club des petits dejeuners

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 10, 2012) - National Bank (TSX:NA) is proud to donate $15,000 to benefit the many children supported by the Club des petits déjeuners. This amount was raised through a concert event held on October 5 at the Maison Symphonique de Montréal. To take a look at the photos of this very special evening, visit

This innovative concert featured a performance by the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal (OSM) under the direction of Maestro Kent Nagano and a work by DJ Champion and composer Maxime McKinley.

Then, participants were invited to try their hand at a challenge offered by National Bank. The game requires players to memorize and then repeat a sequence of lights. For every successful round, the Bank donated $10 to Les déjeuners symphoniques Banque Nationale, a program offered in partnership with the OSM and the Club des petits déjeuners.

As part of this unique program, OSM musicians visit elementary schools in Quebec to introduce children to the enriching world of music and the instruments in an orchestra. National Bank will also donate an amount to the schools to purchase material or set up music classes.

Every year, through its donations and sponsorships program and the initiatives of its employees, National Bank helps support hundreds of organizations across Canada. It focuses primarily on four main areas of activity - health, education, arts and culture, and community outreach - with the goal of generating positive benefits for communities.
