National Candlelight Vigil on Saturday in Vancouver

Attention: City Editor, News Editor, Photo Editor VANCOUVER, B.C.--(CCNMatthews - April 27, 2007) - Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Greater Vancouver Chapter is co-hosting a national Candlelight Vigil as part of MADD Canada's annual National Victims' Weekend conference in Vancouver. Nearly 300 victim families and friends from across Canada are expected to attend the ceremony on Saturday evening to be held at the Coast Plaza Hotel & Suites.

The candlelight vigil ceremony includes processionals with police and victims, music by the award-winning Infinitus String Quartet, and the lighting of candles in tribute of those loved ones killed or injured due to impaired driving.

Public and media are welcome.

WHAT: MADD Canada's National Candlelight Vigil of Hope and Remembrance
WHEN: Commences at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2007
WHERE: Coast Plaza Hotel and Suites, 1763 Comox Street, Vancouver (west end)

MADD Canada National President Karen Dunham as well as numerous MADD Canada spokespersons will be on-hand for media interviews and photos.
