National Christian Foundation Orlando Reaches $100 Million in Giving with $250,000 Grant to LIFT Orlando

Local grant-giving organization observes company milestone just months after celebrating 10-year anniversary

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwired - August 29, 2017) - National Christian Foundation Orlando, a local affiliate of the National Christian Foundation (NCF) and one of the leading grant-making organizations in the city of Orlando, announces today that it has crossed the $100 million mark in cumulative giving. The announcement comes just months after the company celebrated its 10th anniversary in May.

Established in 2007, NCF Orlando is headed by President Tim Seneff, whose team assists over 300 local families in donating to their favorite causes. A recent $250,000 grant to one of those causes, local nonprofit organization LIFT Orlando, is what pushed the company over the $100 million mark. The Orlando affiliate is the 12th NCF office to reach this grant giving milestone.

"Everything we do at LIFT Orlando is made possible because of partnerships, and our partnership with NCF Orlando has been a special one," said Eddy Moratin, executive director at LIFT Orlando. "From sharing an office together at the Foundation HUB downtown, to sharing a passion for making Orlando place, NCF Orlando's platform has created a natural connection for us to convene leaders and be at the leading edge of philanthropy and social change in our town."

"As Orlando increasingly becomes the 'City Generous,' I firmly believe this will lead to more flourishing in the 'City Beautiful,'" said Seneff. "What I love about National Christian Foundation Orlando is that we are connected to a huge national organization that has all the right tools and resources, but we are still engaging local families at church and at ball games. That connectivity is what makes this milestone so special for us, and we are grateful to have been given the opportunity to serve local families and nonprofits like LIFT Orlando for the last 10 years. We truly count it as a unique privilege to come along side givers and be a channel of blessing as we reach this milestone of $100 million in cumulative giving."

Seneff joined the NCF Orlando chapter in 2012 after a long career at CNL Financial Group, where he was the company's president. Since then, he has guided the organization in increasing its assets from $13 million to $67 million, and has grown the NCF Orlando board to include 10 directors and 33 advisory members.

"Tim and his team serve hundreds of generous families here in Central Florida," said Scott Boyd, NCF Orlando board chair. "In 2016 alone, our families contributed $36 million to their Giving Funds, but more impressively, made nearly 4,000 grants totaling over $20 million to charities, with nearly 60 percent of those charities supporting needs here in our great community."

Additional Orlando-based charities that NCF has issued grants to over the last 10 years include Elevate Orlando, Grace Medical Home, and Orlando Rescue Mission. In 2016 alone, NCF Orlando givers granted approximately $11.6 million to local charities.
