National Conference Kicks Off in Edmonton

Hundreds of young business leaders and entrepreneurs descend upon Edmonton to share ideas, learn and network

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept. 22, 2010) -

Junior Chamber International (JCI Edmonton) today, kicked off its 75th annual conference, "Energy 2010," presented by Christenson Developements. The national conference will run from September 22 - 26 at West Edmonton Mall's Fantasyland Hotel.

The conference brings delegates from places across the globe, diverse as Bolivia and Cameroon, to Edmonton. Delegates will converge here to build international relationships and develop a new generation of international business leaders. "We're extremely excited to be hosting the conference in Edmonton - the energy around the conference is incredible, and it's a fantastic opportunity to showcase our city" says JCI Edmonton Chair Shawn McMillan.

Keynote speakers will include Dr. Stephen R. Covey, author of "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People"; Peter van Stolk, founder of Jones Soda; and peak performance expert Wayne Lee.

The achievements of JCI Canada members including Jennifer Cole-Hollands, Michelle Cowan, Jennifer Derzaph, Mike Holliday, Peter Hyndman, Paul Stone and Julie Ward will be honored with national senatorships at the annual Gala on Saturday, September 25.
