National Data Repository (NDR) International Meeting Scheduled for March 2016

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Sep 25, 2015) - Energistics is pleased to announce the next National Data Repository (NDR) meeting will be held March 21-23, 2016 at the Holiday Inn Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas, USA. This event marks the 13th meeting of government regulators, petroleum industry experts, and others, and is expected to bring delegates together from over 30 countries to discuss collection and storage of increasing volumes of data associated with oil and gas exploration and production around the world. Governments and industry have long realized that collecting and storing data is not a competitive activity. Collaborating on business processes, data quality and the related standards for data exchange reduces costs for both government and industry and lowers the risks related to resource exploration.

Lee Allison, Director at the Arizona Geological Survey and Chair of NDR2016, said, "The oil industry is facing new challenges continually so we must maintain our commitment to maintain high quality data. Collaboration between government regulators, stimulated by the NDR meetings and supported by Energistics, is proving to be a major step forward for the petroleum community."
