BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - July 7, 2008) - Current National Law Enforcement Associates
Director, a former United States Marine and retired New York City Police
Detective, John F. Meyer has been named as the new President of BioDefense
Corporation (http://www.biod.com).
National Law Enforcement Associates is a private organization comprised of
senior law enforcement officials and investigators from the FBI, Secret
Service, New York City Police Department, New York New Jersey Port
Authority Police and many critical departments throughout the United
States. http://www.nlea.us/June2008.html
"In this capacity, Mr. Meyer is filling an important leadership role in the
management of BioDefense in New York City, Boston, and London. He will also
help coordinate the anticipated September 11, 2008 launch of the
MailDefender™ V.3," stated EVP Jonathan Morrone.
The MailDefender™ V.3 is an advanced mail disinfection unit designed
specifically for use in mailrooms across the United States and throughout
the world. V.3 is capable of destroying both viral and biological pathogens
that may be carried through the entire world mail system.
Mr. Meyer said, "With the ever increasing risk of contamination from
various types of pathogens, BioDefense MailDefender is at the forefront of
delivering cost-effective solutions to corporations and government. Our
relationships with law enforcement here in the United States and in
countries like the United Kingdom have allowed our company and business
partners to supply critical protection to those agencies and corporations
most in need."
Earlier versions of the MailDefender™ have been in place in offices of
the United States Government, foreign embassies and the United Nations for
more than 3 years. The system works by delivering various energies such as
microwave and infrared into envelopes and packaging using a proprietary
algorithm, while providing the highest levels of safety to mailroom
employees and executive staff. Individual units can be configured together
to comprise a larger system capable of handling thousands of pieces of mail
a day.
