While speaking at The Regional Leadership Conference hosted in Atlanta, GA on June 3, 2015, Schuch gave a speech entitled, "The Expedited Process to Upper Level Management," in which he shared his strategies on how to rise to the top in this industry. One of the most important things that he emphasized was the need to network up. He stated, "If you force yourself to network up and hang out with those more knowledgeable than you, you can begin to leverage their knowledge to help you succeed." When asked "What do I have to do to earn a leadership position?" Schuch replied, "Don't focus on the negative. All you can control is how hard you work, what you say, how you say it, and the overall thought process you carry. If you want your team to have more urgency, be more urgent. Focus on what you can control."
