National Marketing Innovation Award Goes to TopLine

Credit Union Executive Society Presents Golden Mirror Award for Innovation

MAPLE GROVE, MN--(Marketwire - Oct 11, 2012) - The Credit Union Executive Society (CUES) has awarded TopLine Federal Credit Union second place in the Innovation category in its national Golden Mirror Awards, recognizing product innovation, marketing and results. The credit union won second place for a direct mail campaign it created for the Sum-It-Up Savings™ program, to encourage its members to save.

Entrants from all over the United States and Canada were evaluated on innovation, creativity, design, copy, effectiveness and measurability. TopLine's campaign was selected from over 500 entries with credit union assets from $250-$700 million.

The "Time for Change" Sum-It-Up Savings debit card campaign supported the importance of saving for credit union members. Every time the debit card is used the transaction amount is automatically rounded up to the nearest whole dollar and transferred into a savings account of the member's choice, like building a child's savings, putting money into a holiday spending account, setting money aside for emergencies or simply storing up some fun money.

"How proud we are to be honored by CUES for our innovation and the unique opportunity to reach out to our members to help them save," said Harry Carter, President and CEO, TopLine Federal Credit Union. "Most importantly, TopLine is dedicated to educating our members and the community about the benefits of saving, through the products and services we offer, like Sum-It-Up Savings. But it's always fun to be recognized for our marketing creativity in delivering those messages as well."

Winners will be announced in the October issue of Credit Union Management™ magazine and in a special email to Credit Union Times subscribers.
