National Sales Organization Pi Sigma Epsilon Presents Honorary Life Membership Award to Vector Marketing's Director of External Relations and Academic Programs

WILMINGTON, DE--(Marketwire - March 31, 2011) -  Sarah Baker Andrus, Director of External Relations and Academic Programs for Vector Marketing Corporation, the direct sales division of Cutco Cutlery Corporation, will be presented the Honorary Life Membership Award from Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE). Andrus will receive the award at the PSE National Educational Foundation National Convention in Orlando. The award will be presented by Chris Wooten, a PSE Alumnus from University of Central Florida. PSE is the only national collegiate professional, co-educational fraternity for marketing, sales, and management.

The Honorary Life Membership Award distinguishes those PSE members who have made an outstanding contribution to the fraternity, the profession of sales and marketing, and the welfare of the community as a whole. It is the highest form of recognition given to a PSE member. Since 1952, only 25 people have received the Honorary Life Membership Award.

"Sarah is an accomplished executive with a proven ability to initiate new programs and provide leadership for organizational change. Her work on behalf of PSE has done just that," said Wooten.

Andrus holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree from the University of Maryland. As Vector Marketing's Director of External Relations and Academic Programs, she leads Vector's external relations and outreach to the academic community, manages the company's brand and public image, and serves as a corporate spokesperson to the media. She has a special interest in career choices, job search strategies, and staff development, and has written and spoken extensively on these issues.

Andrus formed a corporate partnership with PSE in 1992, the same year that she joined Vector Marketing. For the past eight years she has served on PSE's national council, the organization's governing board.

"From my very first interactions with PSE, I was impressed with the caliber of its collegiate members and the commitment of the staff, alumni and the professionals associated with the fraternity. As an organization, it is simply exceptional and a model of how non-profits can build meaningful and productive strategic alliances with business. I've always felt I've received far more from PSE than I've given, so this award means a great deal to me."

In addition to her work with Vector Marketing and PSE, Baker Andrus serves on the boards of several professional associations and local organizations. She just finished her term as president of the Siegel Jewish Community Center in Wilmington, Delaware, where she lives with her husband Briand and son Ethan. Her oldest son, Sam, is attending the Rhode Island School of Design.

PSE (www.pse.org) was founded in 1952 with a mission to develop the sales and marketing skills of its members. Individuals from a diverse collegiate membership of more than 2,300 come together in PSE to enhance their academic, professional, and personal experiences.

About PSE Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon
The PSE Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon is a year-long competition designed to train and develop students in all aspects of the B2B sales process. This approach emphasizes that the pursuit of sales excellence is a journey, not something that is achieved in a single sales call. The competition aims to help students build professional sales skills that focus on a consultative method of meeting customer needs. Through the Pro-Am, students who participate are uniquely exposed to the way world-class sales organizations approach the selling process. Unlike other sales competitions, the Pro-Am gives participants the chance to study and perform throughout the school year in order to garner the top prizes and be called the PSE Pro-Am winners.
