Becker & Poliakoff Names Attorneys David Ramsey and Jennifer Loheac to Head New Practice


MORRISTOWN, NJ--(Marketwire - March 23, 2011) - Becker & Poliakoff, a pioneer and leader in the field of Community Association law, today announced that attorneys J. David Ramsey and Jennifer Loheac have joined the firm to start the Condo, Homeowners & Co-op practice group. As heads of the firm's second New Jersey office, located in Morristown, Mr. Ramsey and Ms. Loheac will continue to devote their practice to community associations in New Jersey and New York, including homeowner associations, condominiums and cooperatives.

Founded in 1973, Becker & Poliakoff has played a pioneering role in the creation of the law pertaining to the operation of shared ownership housing. Mr. Ramsey, who headed his own firm for a number of years, has professional experience spanning three decades, with a concentration in community association, real estate, zoning and planning law. A past president of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) National and New Jersey Chapters, Mr. Ramsey serves as counsel to the Community Builders Association and is the current chair for the Government & Public Affairs Committee of CAI National. He received his law degree from Rutgers University.

Ms. Loheac has been recognized for three consecutive years as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine, (a designation awarded to fewer than 2.4 percent of lawyers under 40). Ms. Loheac was elected to the Government & Public Affairs Committee of CAI National and appointed to serve on its Amicus Committee. She is the former chair of the editorial group for "Community Trends," CAI-NJ's magazine. Ms. Loheac is a graduate of the University of Missouri Journalism School and received her law degree from Seton Hall Law School.
