Nationwide Search Begins Today! Third Annual-Dickies Canada Canadian Worker of the Year

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 18, 2010) - It's BACK and BIGGER than ever - the third annual Canadian Worker of the Year promotion, presented by Williamson-Dickie Canada Co. (Dickies), is now seeking nominations. In 2009, thousands of Canadian workers from coast to coast were entered in the promotion which saw Robert Richardson, a gas utility operator from Calgary, capture the coveted title of Dickies Canadian Worker of The Year, after being nominated by his wife, Sarah.

"The Canadian Worker of the Year is about recognizing the enthusiasm and dedication of Canada's work force," says Bill McFarlane, vice-president of marketing and operations of Dickies. "We're very excited about the opportunity to shine a light on hard working people across Canada."

Celebrating the commitment and resourcefulness of the Canadian worker, Dickies Canada asks Canadians to consider two questions when making their nomination:
  • What does doing a good job mean to you?
  • How does Dickies work wear help you do a good job?

The search is open to all Canadian citizens, and individuals can nominate themselves or someone they feel is deserving of recognition. Nominations are being accepted as of May 15, 2010 at www.cwoty.ca.

Dickies Canada, makers of guaranteed work wear since 1922, is proud to be working closely with their promotional partners Dodge Dealers of Canada, Bosch Tools, NASCAR, and Dickies Retailers across the country.

"We are thrilled to team up with Dickies again this year to celebrate Canadian workers," said Chris DeWare, Business center Marketing Manager, speaking on behalf of Chrysler Canada's RAM retailers.
