Nativo Raises $20 Million in Series B Funding Led by Advance Vixeid Partners

Leading Native Advertising Technology Platform Secures New Funding to Scale Operations Across All Areas of the Business, Drive International Expansion and Deliver New Digital Publisher Solutions to Support Accelerated Growth

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 30, 2015) - Nativo, the leading native advertising technology platform, today announced a $20 million Series B round led by Advance Vixeid Partners (AVP) with participation from RezVen Partners as well as existing investors. The new funding will be used to expand Nativo's platform solutions, scale operations, and expand its international footprint as the company solves increasingly complex problems for digital media publishers. The company has previously raised a total of $11.2 million from Greycroft Partners, Signia Ventures, Bertelsmann Digital Media Investment, e.ventures and other investors.

"We've seen accelerating adoption of our platform by both brand advertisers and digital publishers over the past year," said Nativo CEO Justin Choi. "This funding will help us expand our engineering team and scale operations across the board to support increased demand for our platform solutions. We're particularly excited about the opportunity to build the future roadmap of native and content advertising and to help shape the future of digital media."

Native advertising spend is projected to grow to $21 billion by 2018, and native ads are outperforming display in traditional as well as engagement-based metrics. Since 2012, Nativo has predicted that trends such as viewability and engagement measurement would become vital to the industry, and the company has actively built these capabilities into its native advertising technology. Since then, industry trends have validated this vision, and with this new funding, Nativo plans to move into the next phase of its evolution. The company will focus on scaling global operations, and helping publishers further scale audience reach across both branded and editorial content. In the future, premium publishers will be able to use Nativo's technology platform to execute branded content as well as syndicate editorial content across a network of publishers.

"Content-based advertising is the next major step in the evolution of digital advertising, and we are already witnessing early evidence of this transition," said David ibnAle, a Partner at AVP. "Nativo is leading the charge in scaling high-quality digital content for brands and publishers, and the company's impressive growth over the past several quarters serves as a testament to the team's strategic vision. We are excited to invest in a company that is consistently delivering clients value and looking for new ways to innovate."
