Natural Systems Utilities, LLC Appoints New CEO

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ--(Marketwired - Feb 26, 2014) - Natural Systems Utilities, LLC (NSU), today announced that Charles R. Gordon has joined the distributed water infrastructure company as its Chief Executive Officer and Board Director. Mr. Gordon comes to NSU with 25 years of management experience in the water and wastewater industries, including positions as CEO of Siemens Water, a $1.5 billion global technology provider, and President/COO of Nuverra which provides environmental services to the oil and gas industry, and grew rapidly from start-up to over $600 million in revenue during his tenure.

"We are at an amazing point in the evolution of water infrastructure," stated Mr. Gordon. "Having been deeply involved for many years in one of the world's largest water businesses that provided technology through traditional delivery systems, it is very exciting to be at the helm of a company which has proven time and again how smaller can be better when it comes to water infrastructure systems -- and how sustainable solutions are economically justified. There is broad application for these new solutions across many market sectors and I am honored to be leading this charge."

"Chuck Gordon is one of a small circle of executives who has successfully grown both water products and service companies for all client types, and done so expansively in the US and globally," stated Dominic Kulik, Partner at Industrial Ecology Capital Management, and Founder and Chairman of NSU. "His integrity and experience brings NSU the leadership necessary to implement our sustainable water solutions worldwide, at a time that the market and planet need it most."

John Coburn, Partner at XPV Capital and NSU Director added, "Mr. Gordon has significant experience developing and leading a national service organization and managing growth through a combination of M&A and organic business development, both domestically and across global business platforms."

Natural Systems Utilities is a market leader in providing higher value, lower impact water and energy solutions for communities and industries, and increased contracted backlog in 2013 by over $105 mm for its industrial and municipal customers in the USA. The Company is a full-service development and finance platform, rapidly mainstreaming the benefits of distributed systems as a widespread alternative to, and effective hybrid retrofit of traditional, less efficient centralized infrastructure.
