Nautilus, Inc. Recapturing Leadership in Athletic Training With Completion of XPLOAD Strength Line

SAN ANTONIO, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 11, 2007 -- Nautilus, Inc. (NYSE: NLS), a pure fitness company, has introduced a new Nautilus® XPLOAD™ athletic performance strength training line, plate-loaded strength equipment designed to give athletes a training advantage. The line was unveiled at the convention of the 10,000-member American Football Coaches Association here.

The Nautilus XPLOAD line includes racks, platforms and single-station plate-loaded strength training equipment, all designed to withstand the intense workout environments of athletes in training. Along with the company's recent innovations in cardiovascular equipment and long-standing leadership in selectorized strength training, the XPLOAD line is the final capstone in Nautilus becoming the first company to offer a complete range of products for athletic training.

"The athletic performance market is sacred ground for us. We introduced a new era of strength training in the 1970s, and we fully intend to reclaim our leadership in athletic training with the completion of this line," said Tim Hawkins, President of Fitness Equipment for Nautilus, Inc. "Not only did we rely on our sports medicine experts and our own engineering team, we also engaged professional, collegiate, and prep coaches across the country to assure this line sets a new standard."

The new line caught the attention of coaches attending the prestigious American Football Coaches Association conference.

"I've watched the development of this product line and could not be happier with the quality and attention to detail that Nautilus once again brings to athletes through this new line," said Ken Miller, MS, PES, who is the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at the University of California-Berkeley. "I fully believe this will have a tremendous impact upon the programs and athletes who take advantage of the XPLOAD line in their training."

The XPLOAD assortment delivers highly effective workouts using plate-loaded equipment designed to support one's complete range of motion. In addition to engineering this equipment to support athletic movement, Nautilus incorporated precision manufacturing, placement of weight plates, quickness of weight adjustments, and the position of the spotter. This helps assure that athletic workouts can be done safely and effectively throughout the training season.

The Nautilus XPLOAD athletic performance line includes elite-quality racks, platforms and plate-loaded single-station equipment designed with laser-cut 7-gauge industrial grade steel and unique rotating spotter platforms. It also includes 15 single-station plate-loaded machines featuring Optimal Strength Curve Technology™, which accounts for an athlete's increases and decreases in strength across the full range of motion.

The equipment is available from Nautilus, Inc., by calling (877) 657-7762, looking for athletic performance equipment at, or contacting Nautilus sales representatives.
