NAV CANADA Announces Ratification of Agreement With CAW Local 2245

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 22, 2012) - NAV CANADA today announced the successful conclusion of collective bargaining with the Canadian Automobile Workers Local 2245, which represents approximately 725 employees working primarily in Flight Service Stations and Flight Information Centres.

Members of CAW Local 2245 voted in favour of the tentative agreement reached on January 18th, 2012. The new collective agreement runs from May 1, 2011 until April 30, 2013 and provides for wage increases of 3 per cent on May 1, 2011, followed by a 3 per cent increase on May 1, 2012. A number of amendments and productivity enhancing changes also form part of the agreement, including removal of pensionable status of a training premium

Marking 15 years as Canada's private sector civil air navigation services provider, with operations from coast to coast to coast, NAV CANADA provides air traffic control, flight information, weather briefings, aeronautical information services, airport advisory services and electronic aids to navigation.
