Navarik Inspection™ Now Collects Greenhouse Gas Information

Software Service Assists Navarik Inspection Customers Impacted by Recent EPA Regulations

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwire - March 3, 2010) - Navarik, a global leader in cargo inspection management software for petroleum trade operations, announced today that Navarik Inspection™ now facilitates the collection of greenhouse gas (GHG) data. This new capability enables Navarik Inspection customers to comply with the recent US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandate requiring petroleum companies to monitor and report GHG emissions based on quantity and quality characteristics of petroleum cargos.

"Navarik is committed to being a primary source for collecting and reporting greenhouse gas emissions," said Patrick Rooney, CEO of Navarik. "As compliance with government regulations grows in importance, we expect Navarik Inspection to play an increasingly critical role in helping companies minimize the resources required to meet the incremental reporting requirements."

Navarik Inspection™ has added the capability of identifying petroleum cargo as a US import or export to quantify GHG emissions based on quantity and quality characteristics. This capability will help Navarik customers meet EPA requirements to have monitoring methods in place by April 1. Navarik plans to introduce future enhancements around reporting of GHG data before the first EPA reports are due.
