Navios Maritime Acquisition Corporation Announces Delivery of One VLCC and Sale of One VLCC

MONACO--(Marketwired - Feb 5, 2014) - Navios Maritime Acquisition Corporation ("Navios Acquisition") (NYSE: NNA), an owner and operator of tanker vessels, announced that the Nave Galactic, a 2009-built VLCC of 297,168 dwt, was delivered on February 4, 2014. The Nave Galactic was purchased for $51.5 million, as part of the three VLCCs acquired in November 2013.

Navios Acquisition also announced that the Shinyo Navigator, a 300,549 dwt VLCC built in 1996, was sold for approximately $17.4 million. The Shinyo Navigator was part of the collateral package securing the 8.125% First Priority Ship Mortgage Notes due 2021. The vessel was released from the collateral package and the Nave Galactic was added as collateral.

Fleet Update
Following the delivery of the Nave Galactic and the sale of the Shinyo Navigator, Navios Acquisition has 34 vessels in the water.
