Mike Pittenger, security software and whitelisting industry expert, Steve Campbell, HPC/Cloud evangelist and industry consultant, and Allen Allison, Vice President of Managed Services, NaviSite will discuss proven approaches to mitigating risks in cloud environments. The webinar will address four critical areas of concern -- virtualization; identity management and administrative access control; network segmentation and traffic protection; and operational security -- when securing cloud infrastructure services and managed enterprise applications. These issues are not unique to cloud computing, but addressing them may require new tools and different approaches. The webinar will also cover best practices for addressing business compliance requirements.

Mike has more than 25 years of experience in operations, business development, marketing and sales. Most recently, Mike was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Savant Protection, a provider of security software for application whitelisting. Prior to Savant, Mike was Vice President and General Manager of @stake (acquired by Symantec in 2004), where he ran the division for award-winning security products l0phtCrack (LC5) and SmartRisk Analyzer, Information Security's 2004 Product of the Year. He also founded Veracode, which built upon SmartRisk Analyzer core technology and launched the industry's first application risk management platform for automatically identifying security vulnerabilities in application binaries.

About Steve Campbell
A well respected industry figure, Steve Campbell is an Industry High Technology Consultant and HPC/Cloud Evangelist. Steve is co-founder and Managing Partner with Orion Marketing, a full service marketing consulting company focused on information technology industry. He has held senior VP positions in Product Management and Product Marketing, responsible for all company marketing for HPC and Enterprise vendors. Steve was most recently Vice President of Marketing and Solutions of the Hitachi Server Group. Previously, he served as Vice President of Marketing at Sun Microsystems Enterprise Systems Products Group, responsible for the mid-range and high-end Sun Fire and Sun Enterprise servers. He was executive sponsor for several high profile customers in Asia and was also responsible for Sun's High-Performance Computing initiatives and the Data Center Insight Programs leading solution programs for data center consolidation and mainframe migration. Before joining Sun, Steve was a founding partner in a technology consulting company working with early stage technology and Internet start-ups, helping to raise over $300M for clients. He also served on the boards of and as interim CEO/CMO of several early-stage technology companies. He was Vice President of Marketing at FPS Computing and held executive positions at Convex Computer Corporation and Scientific Computer Systems.

Allen Allison is Vice President of Managed Services for NaviSite, Inc. Allen has been heavily involved in the information security industry for more than two decades.
