NavStar Technologies, Inc. Releases Technical Details on PowerSport Product

ANAHEIM, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 29, 2012) - NavStar Technologies, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: NVSR), a company focused on producing and commercializing products and services for tracking/monitoring and reporting on the location and condition of high-value cargo and other assets, has released technical details on its product focused on the PowerSport market segment.

NavStar announced today more specific technical details on its PowerSport wireless/GPS tracking and monitoring product that is scheduled to launch mid-year 2012. The PowerSport market segment is the main focus of NavStar for the next 4 to 6 months.

"The hardware and service revenue opportunity for this market segment is significant in the next 3 years," said N. Douglas Pritt, Chairman & CEO, NavStar Technologies, Inc. "In the US alone there are 2.6M motorcycles, 1.1M scooters and 2.4M ATVs. A conservative 'addressable market' or 'high likelihood of sales' is that 2.4M tracking and monitoring devices will be sold in the next 3 years. Our low-cost ultra-small hardware and easy to use service will make us a major player in this market segment."

NSTRAK-M is an ultra-low-cost, yet powerful, real-time tracking device designed specifically for safeguarding motorcycles and PowerSport vehicles from theft. The device is lightweight and ultra-compact in size (1.93 inches x 3.66 inches x 0.63 inches) for easy concealment in the motorcycle/scooter/ATV and is powered by a very powerful 32-bit microprocessor with large program memory size to accommodate the running of a robust and versatile application.

The device is equipped with a GPS chip, an AT&T certified GSM/GPRS communications module, and an accelerometer chip for detecting the movement of and measuring the acceleration rate of the vehicle being tracked. The device supports all four GSM frequencies to be used anywhere in the world.

The device also comes with a very intelligent power management system and a built-in battery that will last for 24 hours or longer. The built-in alert system sends alert messages to the command center when the power cable is cut, indicating that an abnormal condition occurred in the vehicle. At that moment, the command center can start tracking the vehicle to initiate the recovery process.

Coupled with a web-based user friendly map-drive user interface, NSTRAK-M will provide the industry's most cost effective, feature rich, user friendly tracking solution for the PowerSport market segment.
