Navtech, Inc. Announces Delta Air Lines' Launch of CLASS'TM' Preferential Bidding System

WATERLOO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 1, 2005) -

Crew planning system delivers increased scheduling flexibility for pilots

Navtech, Inc. (OTCBB:NAVH), a leading international provider of flight operations software, today announced that Delta Air Lines has fully deployed its CLASS™ preferential bidding system. This crew planning solution is used in the scheduling of Delta Air Lines' 6,000 pilots.

"Navtech worked very effectively with the various teams within Delta and the Air Line Pilots Association to successfully implement a new flight crew planning system in a remarkably short period of time," said David Watson, Director Crew Resources and Scheduling of Delta Air Lines. "This new system is considerably more flexible in accommodating individual crew needs. Everyone benefits from that approach."

CLASS™ allows users to match available flying schedules and routes to an individual crew member's preferences in order to produce and optimize a final crew schedule that balances contractual constraints, company operating requirements and flight crew requests.

"Delta Air Lines and the Air Line Pilots Association were great to work with as we deployed a tailored implementation of our preferential bidding system," said David Strucke, Navtech's President and CEO. "Many airlines and flight crews have expressed great satisfaction with this highly effective yet flexible bidding system."

Airlines are increasingly turning to Navtech for its crew management software solutions. Delta Air Lines is the second major North American airline to choose Navtech's CLASS™ system in the past 12 months. CLASS™ is currently in use by airlines across North America.

Delta Air Lines is the world's second-largest airline in terms of passengers carried and the leading U.S. carrier across the Atlantic, offering daily flights to 502 destinations in 88 countries on Delta, Song, Delta Shuttle, the Delta Connection carriers and its worldwide partners. Delta's marketing alliances allow customers to earn and redeem frequent flier miles on more than 14,000 flights offered by SkyTeam and other partners.
