Navy to Issue Contract for a Defensive and Evasive Driving Training Provider

NORFOLK, VA--(Marketwired - May 08, 2017) - The U.S. Department of the Navy released on Monday, May 8 a combined synopsis/solicitation for a contractor capable of providing defensive and evasive driver training.

Interested contractors must be able to provide a two-day defensive and evasive driving course for up to 40 students on June 3 and 4, 2017. The contractor must have a facility at which to provide the training, and the facility must be within 50 miles of Fort Story in Virginia Beach. The Navy also requires the contractor who receive the contract to provide an instructor to student ratio at a minimum of 1:3 for driving instruction and a minimum of 2:40 for classroom instruction.

Contractors capable of meeting the requirements spelled out in the synopsis/solicitation must response to Robert Richardson at Robert.b.richardson1@usmc.mil by no later than 4 p.m. EST on May 15.

The contractor who receives this contract must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database and have as part of the Registration all current Representations and Certifications. The contractor also must be registered in the Wide Area Work Flow.
