Naxos of America Launches Five Labels for Distribution in August

FRANKLIN, TN--(Marketwire - Aug 1, 2011) - Naxos of America announces the North American distribution launch for five record labels in August. The #1 independent classical music distributor in the U.S. will welcome Clear Note, De Kulture, Marlboro Recording Society, Novum and SibaRecords to the NoA distribution family.

Each summer since 1951, some of the world's most distinguished musicians and exceptional young artists have gathered on the campus of Marlboro College in southern Vermont for the Marlboro Music School & Festival. To coincide with the festival's 60th anniversary this month, the Marlboro Recording Society (http://www.marlboromusic.org/) in conjunction with ArkivMusic (www.arkivmusic.com) will begin a series devoted to never previously released, memorable live performances from the festival which have been personally selected by Marlboro artistic directors Mitsuko Uchida and Richard Goode.

Novum (http://www.newcollegechoir.com/novum.html) was inaugurated as the official record label of Oxford University's New College Choir in October 2010 with a release of Monteverdi's 1610 Vespers, exactly 400 years after the publication of this ground breaking collection of sacred music. Founded during the 14th century, the New College Choir is one of the most celebrated and acclaimed choral groups of the U.K. It comprises around thirty voices, including its famous boy choristers.

SibaRecords (http://www3.siba.fi/sibarecords/sibarecords_in_english) is the Sibelius Academy's own record label. It was established in 2009 to produce high-class artistic music recordings and to promote the Sibelius Academy as a major player in the music business. Siba uses the artistic license of having its own label to make recordings that reflect the Sibelius Academy's artistic profile to the fullest extent. The multichannel super audio CD quality of all SibaRecords' releases guarantees a high-quality sound experience in balance with the contents.

Clear Note (http://clearnoteclassics.com/) is a privately owned record label and sheet music publishing company, located in Ohio, which was founded upon service to both the artists and the label's valued customers. The label staff's collective knowledge of the arts, education, culture, innovative product design, and marketing have allowed Clear Note to build a company that serves a well-educated and multi-talented roster of composers, arrangers, and recording artists.

Based in India, De Kulture Music (http://www.dekulture.com/aboutus.aspx) was established to develop an Indian network of undiscovered audio archives and an entertainment resource that delivers India's diverse cultural expressions in an informative way via all mediums possible. Academically, it's an initiative to contribute towards such disciplines as Folklore, Performance Studies and Ethnomusicology.
