NBC Among Major Corporate Supporters of 2008 Olympics Relying on CIBT Visa Expediting to Ensure Trouble-Free Employee Travel

MCLEAN, VA--(Marketwire - June 12, 2008) - "Hundreds of NBC's Olympic-bound travelers are expected to 'sail' though Chinese immigration procedures because of assistance from CIBT," said Steven Diehl, Vice President, CIBT, Inc. (, the world's largest visa and passport expediter.

"Because NBC is the major American broadcast outlet for the 2008 Olympics," Mr. Diehl continued, "it is imperative that employees get to China on time. CIBT has been working with NBC to provide all necessary visa services, to ensure that US Olympic fans can join the millions around the globe tuning in to enjoy the games."

NBC is one of a list of major US corporations, including Johnson & Johnson, contacting CIBT about sending groups of employee and VIP customers to the summer Olympics.

"CIBT is creating customized plans for companies sending 50 or more people to China this summer. We are assisting athletes and coaches, corporate travelers, tour operators, VIPs, and some very large groups to accommodate the unique needs of each of our clients. Since China's visa policy has gotten more restrictive leading up to the Olympic games, CIBT personnel are working diligently to ensure that all groups are getting the special attention they need. We are working closely with the Chinese Embassy and its consulates across the United States to ensure the smoothest possible process for all involved," said Jeff Fine, President of CIBT. "The key to success, is to start early," he added.

Mr. Diehl cautioned Olympics-bound travelers that "going directly to the Chinese Embassy or consulates to obtain visas has proven frustrating for many individuals and groups who have been turned away due to the lack of proper support documentation often resulting in multiple return trips. Sending your application by mail is even riskier. Until recently, a Chinese visa was valid for one year and permitted multiple entries. Now, people need official invitations, flight and hotel confirmation, and in some cases bank statements and other documents to apply for a visa."

CIBT has developed special visa kits for international groups. The kits have become especially valuable for companies trying to coordinate travel for global employees and customers departing for the Olympics from various countries. CIBT is the only visa expediter with worldwide offices.
