NCI Technologies Inc. Receives Funding From Government of Canada

BOISBRIAND, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 30, 2011) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that NCI Technologies Inc. has been granted financial assistance to intensify its commercialization efforts in the United States and develop the South American market.

"The Government of Canada was unhesitating in its decision to support this project of NCI Technologies, an innovative company in the information and communications technologies sector, a priority area for the economy of the Laurentides region," said Minister Lebel.

Founded in 1996, NCI Technologies, an innovative firm of international scope operating in the telecommunications industry, specializes in the design, development and manufacture of electronics for remote reliability testing of telecommunications lines. The enterprise's clients mainly include major telephone and Internet companies.

The enterprise intends to use this funding to hire a marketing specialist, develop promotional materials, update its Web site and take part in commercial fairs.

This $100,000 repayable contribution has been granted through Canada Economic Development's Business and Regional Growth program, an initiative designed to strengthen the conditions conducive to the sustainable growth of Quebec's regions and small and medium-sized enterprises. The program's aim is to help businesses improve their performance, become more competitive and engage in innovation. It also supports the transfer of technology and research outputs to enterprises and the development of new markets.
