NCPDP Announces Call for Presentations for 2013 Annual Conference

Conference Topics for 2013 Include Healthcare Reform, ACOs, REMS, Pharmacy Reimbursement, Healthcare and Pharmacy Operations, and Patient Safety

SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwire - Jul 11, 2012) - The National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP), a not-for-profit pharmacy standards development organization, invites pharmacy and healthcare industry thought leaders and innovators to submit speaker abstracts for the NCPDP 2013 Annual Technology & Business Conference. The conference will be held May 5-9, 2013, in Phoenix, Arizona. The deadline for submitting speaker abstracts is August 31, 2012.

Conference sessions are expected to cover a broad range of topics including:

  • Electronic PDMPs (prescription drug monitoring programs);
  • State healthcare exchanges;
  • Opportunities for pharmacies in ACOs (Accountable Care Organizations);
  • Updates on healthcare reform and regulations;
