NDRC Approves Two Large Alumina Projects in Yunnan and Henan, an Industrial Info News Alert

BEIJING--(Marketwire - July 10, 2008) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) recently announced that it has approved two large alumina projects: Yunnan Metallurgical Group's 800,000-ton-per-year Wenshan alumina project and CHALCO Zhongzhou Branch Company's 700,000-ton-per-year alumina expansion project. The Wenshan project will be built and operated by Yunnan Wenshan Aluminum Company Limited (Wenshan), and the expansion project will be built and operated by a subsidiary of the Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (CHALCO) (NYSE:ACH) (Beijing).
