Nebo's Adam Harrell Honored by PR News for His Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility

2015 CSR Awards Acknowledge Harrell for Contributions to Local Community and Recognize Nebo for Choose ATL Campaign

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Mar 6, 2015) - Adam Harrell, Co-Founder and President at Nebo, has been selected as a finalist for CSR Professional of the Year by PR News in its 2015 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards. These accolades celebrate the most outstanding leaders and communications efforts powering corporate social responsibility and green initiatives.

Finalists were recognized for taking chances, making incredible strides in their industries and for understanding the power of CSR in public relations. Harrell stands alongside notable leaders from companies such as Time Warner Cable, McDonald's Corporation, Verizon Foundation and Guitar Center, among others.

Under Harrell's leadership, Nebo has executed more than $1 million in pro bono or below cost initiatives in the past two years alone. Harrell is also active in the community, working with Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall's Year of Boulevard initiative and Operation P.E.A.C.E. to provide better opportunities for underserved kids in the Boulevard corridor of Atlanta. He also serves as Executive Director of Startup Atlanta, a non-profit focused on growing and connecting the entrepreneurial ecosystem. He stands by his belief that if you put people first and do great work, everything else falls into place. That simple, but powerful idea is the engine that has driven Nebo to its success.

"Adam's passion for giving back to the community is undeniable, and his generosity continues to inspire me," said Brian Easter, Co-Founder and CEO at Nebo. "I'm so proud of the impact he and our team have already made, but beyond that, I'm excited to see the difference that this group of people's creativity and talent will make in the future."

In the past few years, Harrell has led the charge in launching impactful projects that raise awareness for worthy causes, such as the Eames House 250, which helped preserve a historic landmark for the next 250 years, the Rescue Pledge to encourage shelter animal adoption, Build the BeltLine to raise funds towards the development of Atlanta's transformative urban revitalization project and Choose ATL.

In addition to Harrell's nomination, PR News acknowledged Nebo's Choose ATL campaign with three award nominations in the Cause Branding, CSR on a Shoestring and Pro Bono categories. The Choose ATL campaign started as a community-driven initiative created to brand Atlanta as a digital hub. With the launch of the campaign, Nebo partnered with Atlanta businesses, influencers and local politicians to tell the city's untold story as the nation's best place to live, work and start a business.
