NECA and IBEW Instrumental in Napa Valley LEED Gold Certification, a Feature of "Industry Today" on Industrialinfo.com

NAPA VALLEY, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 28, 2014) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Say the words "Napa Valley," and world-class wines instantly come to mind. The region is home to more than 400 wineries, many of which have earned international acclaim for the wines that they produce. One of the most well-respected winemakers in the region is Hall Wines, which has earned accolades and high ratings for many of its wines since opening in 2005.

In addition to producing outstanding wines, Hall is unique in that it is the only winery in California with LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, showing excellence in environmental sustainability for design and construction. Hall's winery in St. Helena, California, actually holds two LEED Gold certifications: one for the production facility and the other for the tasting room. NECA contractor Napa Electric and IBEW Local 180 were instrumental in helping install the electrical systems that played an integral part in obtaining these certifications.

"Napa Electric worked with us on both phases of this project," says Mike Reynolds, president of Hall Wines. "They've done a great job, and the most important thing when we are working with a contractor is that it gets done in a timely way and that everything works."

The NECA-IBEW team has been involved in many aspects of the overall project, from the installation of the electrical systems for the crushing and fermenting equipment and thermostat controls to the complex LED lighting fixtures and displays in the company's art-filled tasting room. The result is not only some of the best wines that the Napa Valley region has to offer, but also an exquisite space for visitors to taste and enjoy these wines.

On this edition of "Industry Today," learn more about how NECA and the IBEW helped carve out a unique space with high marks for environmental sustainability in one of the world's top wine-producing regions.
