Nectar Announces Support for Avaya Voice Portal

Converged Management Platform Expands VoIP Monitoring Capabilities

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - October 20, 2010) -  Nectar Services Corp. today announced expanded capabilities for its network monitoring and management software, the Converged Management Platform (CMP). The CMP solution now includes support for Avaya's Voice Portal. Nectar is a software firm specializing in managed services technologies for voice and data networks, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Juma Technology Corp (OTCBB: JUMT).

Nectar CMP's latest monitoring and management featured auto-discovers an Avaya Voice Portal cluster and maps the voice-XML applications. The new discovery, mapping and monitoring capabilities deliver visibility into the various components that can affect Voice Portal functionality: the underlying VoIP delivery platform, the corporate interactive voice response solution, and the applications that feed it. The new module will be commercially available November 15th.

Integrated response systems and software, such as the Avaya Voice Portal, leverage web services along with voice recognition and speech enablement technologies to provide enhanced customer service across different communication mediums.

These advanced service platforms, combined with open standards and integrated third party systems, create management complexities and support challenges.

Nectar's expanded support provides health and availability data while delivering a single view of the interdependencies between the Avaya Voice Portal, applications and the network that supports it.

New Nectar Software Highlights:

  • Auto-discover an Avaya Voice Portal Cluster
  • Automate mapping of servers to Voice Portal systems
  • Visualize VXML applications that work with Voice Portal and test their availability
  • Tie in knowledge of Avaya Communication Manager to Voice Portal availability
  • Determine application vulnerability within the Voice Portal environment with real-time stats and dependencies

"Self-service systems such as Avaya Voice Portal are becoming ever more important to companies of all sizes. These valuable platforms have the ability to drive cost savings while improving customer response. As these platforms move to open system architectures to ease integration and accelerate deployment, they also create management challenges," said Edmond Baydian, Chief Services Officer. "Understanding call processing, availability of VXML applications and the underlying VoIP transport network are all keys to ensuring uptime for these mission critical systems. Nectar's support for the Avaya Voice Portal highlights our cross-domain correlation ability. We provide the necessary tools to ensure uptime and lower mean time to repair in today's complex VoIP system architectures."

David Giangano, Nectar's President of Global Channels added, "Nectar's support for Avaya Voice Portal equips our partner community with even more advanced features for their Network Operations Center and managed services offerings. We are consistently raising the bar so that our partners can continue to deliver unmatched support for the customers."
