Needle Introduces the First Social Commerce Chat Integrations at the Adobe Omniture Summit

Needle's Guided Shopping Platform Allows Agents to Connect With Customers via Facebook and Push Customized Offers to a Customer's Facebook Wall

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - March 22, 2011) - At the recent Omniture Summit in Salt Lake City, Needle introduced a suite of social commerce tools it has developed for the Needle Guided Shopping Platform. These tools allow companies to take the direct conversations they have everyday with customers via chat and turn them into a social shopping channel.

The core social commerce tool Needle unveiled was its Social Coupon Generator. The Social Coupon Generator gives chat agents the ability to create personalized coupons for customers and push those coupons directly to a customer's Facebook wall during a chat for that customer's friends to also see and use. The Social Coupon Generator is exclusive to Needle and is the only one of its kind in the customer contact market.

Another tool Needle demonstrated at the Adobe Omniture Summit was the Facebook Connect feature that invites chat customers to connect to the chat agent via Facebook. The customer's Facebook data is then pulled directly into the Guided Shopping Platform so the agent has a clear view of the person they're chatting with and can use that information to increase conversion.
