NeighborWorks America Names Leonard Williams Chief Financial Officer

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - October 01, 2015) - NeighborWorks America announced today that it named Leonard Williams chief financial officer. Williams is responsible for financial planning, budget forecasting, and providing senior strategic leadership to the organization's IT, human resources, procurement and facilities management functions. He also is responsible for preparation and submission of the organization's budget and financial reports to its board of directors and the federal Office of Management and Budget.

Williams reports to Paul Weech, NeighborWorks America president and CEO. He joins NeighborWorks America from Tatum, LLC, a strategic business consulting firm where he was a partner. Prior to Tatum, Williams was the EVP/CFO at Pact, a $180 million nonprofit international development organization. During his tenure at PACT, he instituted a new economic model and cost/funding structure that enabled the organization to grow revenues from $140 million to $175 million over five years and implemented new pricing models that generated more than $900 million in new projects and greatly diversified the nonprofit's funding base. He also instituted an internal auditing and risk management scheme that significantly reduced operating project risk exposures and led to zero audit findings for five consecutive years. While in this role, Williams was nominated for Nonprofit CFO of the year by Washington Business Magazine.

Prior to joining PACT, Williams held a variety of increasingly responsible finance and technology management positions within organizations as diverse as the Graduate Management Admission Council, Quality Telecommunications Systems and Verizon Federal Systems.

"Leonard's experience and leadership in multiple sectors, including finance, consulting and technology, will strengthen the ability of NeighborWorks America to develop and manage strategic relationships that ultimately will help the organization and the NeighborWorks network build stronger neighborhoods one home at a time," said Weech. "Moreover, Leonard's track record of establishing successful partnerships in the public and private sectors will add momentum to our efforts to advance community development across the board."

Williams holds a BSE in computer science and engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, an MSEE in computer and information systems from Penn's Graduate School of Engineering and an MBA in finance and decision sciences from the Wharton Business School.
