Canadian and international recording sensation Nelly Furtado, who is tearing up the music charts at home and abroad with her internationally acclaimed CD Loose (Universal Music Canada), begins her highly anticipated cross-Canada tour on March 21, 2007 in her hometown of Victoria BC.

Nelly Furtado first burst onto the music scene and international stage with her debut album Whoa, Nelly!. This featured the timeless hit I'm Like A Bird that went on to win her the 2001 Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and four Juno Awards including Best Single. Furtado won her fifth Juno for Song of the Year for Powerless (Say What You Want) from 2003's critically-acclaimed album Folklore. This diverse, accomplished, singer, songwriter and performer recently returned to prominence in 2006 with the release of Loose and its chart-topping hit singles, Promiscuous, Maneater, and her sexy new single Say It Right.

Loose, now close to 3x Platinum in Canada with over 9 million in sales worldwide was produced almost entirely by major producer Timbaland and further showcases Nelly's versatility, creativity and hip-hop influence. Lead track Promiscuous became an instant hit, earning Furtado a number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart which propelled Loose to top the Billboard Top 200 album chart during its first week of release; Furtado's first-ever number one album.

Tickets for this long-awaited tour go on sale across the country on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006 (Nov. 24 in Ottawa).
