QUEBEC, CANADA--(Marketwire - Feb. 8, 2011) - (TSX VENTURE:NMX)(OTCBB:NMKEF) – NEMASKA EXPLORATION INC. ("Nemaska" or the "Corporation") announces the results of 45 channel samples, totalling 556 m of samples taken during the months of October and November 2010 on its Whabouchi property.

During this campaign, the Company exposed more than 1,970m of pegmatite by digging eighteen (18) trenches and mechanical stripping the area. These trenches, spaced at 50 to 100 meters apart, covered 1,050 meters laterally of the spodumene bearing pegmatite dykes.

"These trenches and channel samples confirm the exceptional grade and width of the deposit and that the grade continues to improve significantly as we move to the east where the resource remains open," commented Guy Bourassa, President and CEO of Nemaska. "To date, the density of the drilling has been concentrated on the western portion of the deposit. These results confirm the potential to find additional higher grade zones to the East."

The summary of the channels and results obtained are reproduced in the above table and the details can be found in the map that can be accessed at http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/Whabouchi.pdf:

The results obtained from this sampling add to the level of confidence of the continuity of the pegmatite zones forming the Whabouchi Deposit and confirm the consistency of the grade and the lateral continuity of the spodumene bearing pegmatite zones. In total, including the initial stripping and channel sampling work initiated in October 2009, the deposit is now covered by 34 trenches with a 50m spacing covering laterally 1,300m. To date, 63 channels have been completed and 844 samples collected.

These results, coupled with the results of the current drill program, will allow Nemaska to update the resources estimate done by SGS Geostat in May 2010. As of January 31 2011, 5,530 m of drilling was completed in 33 holes. The results of these drill holes are pending.

The samples have been shipped for preparation (crushing and pulverization) to the lab of Table Jamésienne de Concertation Minière (TJCM) in Chibougamau. The prepared samples will then be sent by courier to the Lakefield laboratory of SGS Mineral Services in Lakefield, Ontario, for lithium, beryllium and rubidium analysis. This laboratory is recognized by industry and accredited ISO/MEC 17025: 2005 by the Canadian Council of standards. Nemaska Exploration implements a rigorous quality control protocol to its operations, including the insertion of analytical control samples, duplicates and blanks and the follow-up on the results of these assays.
