Nemx Launches SecurExchange™ Version 2.0

Offers Enhanced Control Over Inbound, Outbound and Internal Messages, Compliance Monitoring for Attachments and On-Demand Secure Messaging

OTTAWA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 24, 2005 -- Nemx Software, provider of SecurExchange™, the first email content control solution to provide complete inbound, outbound and internal message compliance enforcement, today announced the release of SecurExchange Version 2.0. The latest version of SecurExchange adds new compliance and Secure Mail capabilities offering enterprise customers enhanced control over every message entering, leaving or circulating within their Microsoft Exchange network.

In the current regulatory and highly competitive business environment, enterprises need to proactively execute email content control and compliance that goes beyond traditional inbound email monitoring which only addresses external threats such as spam and viruses. Nemx's SecurExchange is the only product that enables organizations to perform Exchange-based email monitoring at four critical levels. In addition to inbound content control, SecurExchange offers:

-- Outbound Monitoring: For primarily regulatory compliance and
    information leakage detection and prevention.

-- Internal Monitoring: For enforcement of internal corporate compliance
and acceptable use policies (AUP), and often as a necessary extra control
    for truly complete regulatory compliance.

-- "After the Fact" Scanning: For the capability to locate compliance and
AUP violations in existing message stores (i.e. public folders or user
mailboxes) and identify the risk from past correspondence associated with a
    new content policy.

"Although stringent new regulatory and corporate compliance requirements have been driving market growth for outbound content control solutions, information leakage is more than an outbound issue," said Brian Burke, Research Manager, Security Products, IDC. "Safeguarding confidential or sensitive information within the organization is equally important, and internal content control and compliance enforcement is a growing concern for many enterprises. Nemx combines both outbound and internal content control in a single product, and this is a clear differentiator for SecurExchange."

New to SecurExchange Version 2.0 is real-time monitoring of content within message attachments and Concept Builder, which enables organizations to efficiently create and manage customized content concepts reflecting internal acceptable use policies and other corporate content guidelines. Also available with the latest release is the optional SecurExchange S/MIME module, which provides on-demand secure messages for automatic, policy-driven encryption and digital signatures for ultra-sensitive content. Once Secure Mail policies are defined, SecurExchange S/MIME operates completely transparently to end users.

"Increasingly, the same restrictions that are placed on outbound content for privacy protection, regulatory compliance, or to prevent information leakage must also govern content shared internally amongst employees," said John Young, President, Nemx Software. "The reality is that firewalls and security appliances simply cannot monitor internal email. To effectively monitor all of an organization's email, regardless of its origin or destination, enterprises need a single, integrated solution to handle outbound, inbound and internal email message flow. SecurExchange enables organizations to take total control of email while minimizing administration and creating cost efficiencies giving them real peace of mind."

Features and Benefits

With enhancements of SecurExchange's unique Intelligent Content Analysis engine and proprietary Smart Action Trigger™ technology, SecurExchange Version 2.0 incorporates new features that augment the available security options and simplifies corporate content policy management. New features include:

-- SecurExchange S/MIME: Highly sensitive content, such as financial
information being sent externally to directors, requires an extra level of
security. SecurExchange can automatically encrypt and/or digitally sign
messages based upon internally defined policies, eliminating the need for
any specific user action and, therefore, the chance that any highly
sensitive information could be sent in the clear. Criteria for secure
message actions can be based upon senders, recipients, the content, or any
combination thereof. SecurExchange S/MIME includes an integrated interface
to Microsoft Certificate Authority to simplify the creation and management
of user certificates. Pre-existing security and authentication credentials
stored in Microsoft Active Directory will automatically be honored and used
by SecurExchange S/MIME, eliminating any duplication or synchronization
issues. The entire on-demand secure messaging process with SecurExchange
S/MIME is policy-driven, transparent to, and requires no action on the part
    of the user.

-- Real-time monitoring for message attachments: Email attachments
oftentimes contain proprietary, confidential or sensitive information.
SecurExchange not only scans the body of the email message but now also
scans Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF file attachments to prevent privacy,
    compliance or information leakage violations.

-- Concept Builder: Concept Builder is a tool that allows customers to
create and manage their own content "concepts." Using Concept Builder,
virtually any internal AUP or corporate compliance guideline can be
quickly, easily and accurately represented by one or a combination of
concepts. Concepts can be combined hierarchically and are reusable,
simplifying ongoing maintenance and reducing administration time and costs.
SecurExchange uses concept scanning or monitoring because it is more
comprehensive and accurate than simply the use of key words, phrases and
the heuristics used by other products. In addition to the new Concept
Builder, SecurExchange continues to include several pre-defined concepts
created by Nemx, such as those for non-public personal information (NPI),
solicitations, offensive content, confidential material, and others.
