Neptune Industries, Inc. Announces Technology Name Change

BOCA RATON, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 3, 2006 -- Neptune Industries, Inc. (OTCBB: NPDI) announced today that it has modified the name of its S.A.F.E.™ System and Eco-tank™ to the Aqua-Sphere™ system, and the Aqua-Cell™ respectively.

Mr. Sal Cherch, Chief Operating Officer, stated, "After several months of market studies, we have come to the conclusion that the Aqua-Sphere™ and Aqua-Cell™ names better represent our patent-pending technology. The Aqua-Cell™ will now refer to the world's first jointed, articulating tank, which is the nucleus of the Aqua-Sphere™ system. The Aqua Sphere™ name will be used when referring to a system consisting of two or more Aqua Cells™ incorporated into a complete seafood production system including an alternative energy power source, flexible dock/work platform, automatic feeding system, interconnected fish transport system, and a revolutionary new waste collection system. With final testing in full swing, we anticipate bringing Aqua-Cell™ and Aqua-Sphere™ to the rapidly expanding, worldwide marketplace in early 2007."

Based in Boca Raton, Florida, Neptune Industries, Inc. has developed a scalable, modular aquaculture technology called Aqua-Sphere™ and Aqua-Cell™ that successfully addresses the environmental concerns of most aquaculture operations by controlling and recycling all waste products, while insuring the production of the highest quality fish at an affordable price. The company currently operates the Blue Heron Aqua Farms in Florida City, FL and is a leading producer of hybrid striped bass, which it markets internationally as Everglades Striped Bass™. The company's current production at its Blue Heron farm, and future production with Aqua-Sphere™ System technology are intended to target the organic market once such certification is available.
