Nesscap Energy Inc. Receives Approval for Quality and Performance from Chinese Certification Agency

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA--(Marketwire - July 14, 2011) - Nesscap Energy Inc. ("Nesscap") (TSX VENTURE:NCE), a global leader in research, development and manufacturing of ultracapacitor products, announced today that the China Quality Certification Centre ("CQC") has approved Nesscap's 48V 166F ultracapacitor module for use in automotive applications in China.

The CQC approval certifies that Nesscap's 48V166F modules fully comply with the QC/T 741 standard for electrical performance and mechanical durability for UC modules in automotive applications. The QC/T 741 was drafted to ensure that the ultracapacitor modules being used for automotive applications meet a certain standard of quality in electrical performance and in mechanical durability. The 48V 166F module was tested to ensure that it complies with such standard and was found to meet the requirements.

"Our customers are looking for a versatile ultracapacitor solution to improve vehicle efficiency and this certification demonstrates Nesscap's quality in manufacturing products to meet customer demands." said Dr. Sunwook Kim, CEO of Nesscap Energy Inc. "For Nesscap, China represents the largest market opportunity for ultracapacitor applications. Demand for efficient alternative green energy is required for a diverse range of hybrid vehicles."

QC/T 741 addresses all aspects of ultracapacitors in automotive applications, especially in EV or HEV applications, such as engine starting and traction-boost. The standard includes general requirements for ultracapacitor performance and prescribes measurement methods of electrical characteristics for the ultracapacitor pack. It also includes requirements concerning mechanical durability to vibration and shock, quality of manufactured products, product marking methods, packaging, transportation, and storage of ultracapacitor packs. The products certified under this standard are deemed acceptable for use in the above mentioned applications in the People's Republic of China.

The 48V modules are lightweight, fully integrated and aluminum encased and range in capacitance from 36 Farads to 166 Farads. These modules provide ease of use integration for power hungry automotive, industrial and telecom applications providing versatile building blocks for complete systems with higher voltage requirements.

Nesscap's 48V series modules were designed with integrated cell balancing and monitoring capabilities and efficient cooling configuration that would enable them to sustain continuous high currents with minimal temperature increase in heavy-duty cycle environments. The modules are to meet the needs of Nesscap customers' rigorous applications and to provide them the unique power solution that they require.
