Net Health Systems Ranked Among America's Fastest-Growing Inner-City Companies

PITTSBURGH, PA--(Marketwire - June 6, 2007) - Net Health Systems, Inc. (NHS), provider of integrated software and business intelligence services for the healthcare industry, said today that it has been ranked as the 37th fastest-growing inner-city company in the United States.

The designation came as part of this year's ranking of the 100 fastest-growing U.S. inner-city companies sponsored by Inc. Magazine and the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC). The 9th annual 2007 Inner City 100 was compiled from more than 4,500 company submissions.

NHS' flagship product, WoundExpert (, is used by more than 4,000 healthcare professionals at outpatient wound clinics, acute care clinics, long-term care centers and skilled nursing facilities in 43 states. The software allows clinicians, physicians and healthcare managers to improve patient care through better tracking and benchmarking, as well as to enhance workflow procedures and business decision-making. More than one million patient encounters are automated annually through the integrated clinical, financial and regulatory compliance software package.

"We're honored to have received this prestigious designation from Inc. Magazine and the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City," said Patrick Colletti, NHS president. "Our continued growth is testimony to WoundExpert's market leadership and to our unwavering commitment to help our clients deliver excellent patient care and cost-effective practice management.

"With changes in the economics of healthcare delivery, and trends such as the exploding diabetes epidemic that will result in more serious wound care challenges, it is critical that wound care practitioners have the most advanced patient care and management tools to provide the best care," Colletti continued. "We're confident our migration to Microsoft ASP .NET and new capabilities like our business intelligence dashboard, which integrates facility and enterprise reporting into a single user-friendly interface, will result in WoundExpert's continued success in the marketplace."

Only 14 other Pittsburgh companies have been honored with the Inner City 100 designation in the nine years of the program.

Colletti accepted the award at a ceremony in Boston that featured seminars for Inner City 100 executives with civic leaders and industry experts from the Harvard Business School. Sponsors of the Inner City 100 initiative include Chevron, Merrill Lynch, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Staples Foundation for Learning. Other supporting organizations include the National Association of Manufacturers, Small Business Administration and U.S. Conference of Mayors.
