VIENNA, VA--(Marketwire - June 18, 2009) - NetApp (
NASDAQ:
NTAP) today announced it took
second place in the large company category (with nonlocal headquarters) on
the Washington Business Journal's 50 "Best Places to Work" in the D.C. area
list for 2009. NetApp has had a presence in the D.C. area since June 1999,
and its facility in Vienna, Virginia, focuses on the U.S. public sector:
federal, state, local, and K-12 education customers.
"We are very excited and honored to be recognized for our employees'
opinion that NetApp is one of the 'Best Places to Work' in the D.C. area,"
said Mark Weber, president and general manager of the U.S. Public Sector at
NetApp. "The feedback gathered in this survey reaffirms our employees'
spirit and passion for the core NetApp values, including trust, integrity,
teamwork, and synergy. These strong values help drive innovation, business
breakthroughs, and outstanding customer experiences."
The 50 "Best Places to Work" list is based on the results of random and
confidential surveys administered by the Washington Business Journal.
NetApp employees based in the D.C. area responded to the survey, giving the
company high marks for creating a workplace in which employees believe
their efforts and professional opinions are respected, new workers feel
welcomed and can clearly see a path toward professional growth, company
leaders have clearly articulated the mission and philosophy of the
business, and employees can have a little fun now and again to celebrate a
job well done.
