Neterion and Sam Boo Sign Distribution Agreement in Korea

Building on Successful OEM Relationships, Neterion Expands Presence in Asia/Pacific

CUPERTINO, CA and SEOUL, KOREA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 12, 2006 -- Today Neterion, Inc., the industry leader in 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapters for server and storage environments, announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Sam Boo System, the leading Korean distributor of technology products, in order to meet the growing demand for 10 Gigabit Ethernet in servers and storage devices.

Sam Boo will lead the customer adoption of Neterion products in Korea by targeting server and storage OEMs, developing distribution channels and creating a customer support network.

"Sam Boo has a long-established position in Korea," said Dave Zabrowski, President and CEO of Neterion. "Expanding Neterion's presence to this country, the 12th largest economic power in the world, is key to our reach in Asia-Pacific. Sam Boo has the relationships, technical capabilities and customer support infrastructure in place that will enable us to serve the market there."

Neterion has already announced OEM contracts with many server vendors including IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Silicon Graphics and Cray. Sun Microsystems has also entered into a strategic partnership with Neterion to develop the next generation 10 Gigabit Ethernet support for Solaris 10.

"Neterion is clearly the market leader in 10 Gigabit Ethernet technology in the US and we are very pleased that Korea and Sam Boo were chosen for their expansion in Asia-Pacific," stated Chul Ho Yoo, CEO of Sam Boo System. "The Xframe products, with their critical IPv6 support, will be in demand for those customers seeking standard 10 Gigabit Ethernet solutions for enterprise data centers and high performance computing environments."

Support for Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) is mandated in Asian markets. Aside from providing an almost infinite number of IP addresses, as opposed to the current IPv4, IPv6 was developed with security as a leading feature. It allows devices to securely authenticate remote nodes and encrypt communication with them. These security features enable secure, end-to-end communications between almost any types of device. IPv6 support is designed into all Xframe products.

Neterion will be making further product, customer and distributor announcements throughout the year.
