NetFortris and the Oakland Raiders Team Up to Honor Local Student Athletes

OAKLAND, CA--(Marketwired - December 04, 2015) - This Sunday, NetFortris and the Oakland Raiders will honor seven outstanding student athletes and their coaches from the Oakland Athletic League at the Oakland Raiders home game against the Kansas City Chiefs at 1:05 pm PT at O.co Stadium in Oakland, California. Students were chosen for their commitment to academics, their high school football team and the greater school community through hard work, dedication, perseverance and sportsmanship.

NetFortris, a secure cloud communications provider, is headquartered in San Francisco, CA and recognizes that it is their duty to give back to the local community through sponsorships, awards, volunteering and outreach.

"We are inspired by individuals who dedicate themselves to achieving their goals and to teamwork team work," said Grant Evans, CEO of NetFortris. "NetFortris provides software and services that allow teams to communicate and work together more efficiently. Working with the Oakland Raiders, we are honored to recognize these outstanding students and commend their ability to make a difference both on and off the field."

This year NetFortris worked with the Oakland Athletic League to select one student from each football team to be honored alongside their coach at the Raiders game. During pregame festivities, the Raiders will recognize these student-athletes with the Academic Honors Award, an award acknowledging local students and educators for their positive impact on and off the field. Additionally, NetFortris has invited the students to join them in their suite during the game.

The Oakland Raiders are dedicated to giving back to students, educators, coaches and community leaders. Through their Raiders Foundation programs, First & Goal and Academic Honors Awards, they give community members and students an opportunity to experience professional football in a fun and engaging manner. First & Goal also provides students with the opportunity to learn from Raider Legends through a chalk talk prior to kick-off. This week First & Goal has provided 260 tickets to students and coaches from the Oakland Athletic league.

"The Raiders have a proud history of supporting our local community. These programs are another example of our commitment to the community where we live and play," explained Megan King, Executive Director of the Raiders Foundation. "We are pleased to team up with other Bay Area companies, like NetFortris, so we can provide as many opportunities as possible for youth in our community."
