Netpulse Acquires Club Apps Assets to Expand Platform Reach

Kelly Sweeney to Become VP of Sales at Netpulse

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 20, 2014) - Netpulse, the fitness industry's leading digital platform, has acquired the assets of Club Apps, one of the largest providers of custom club mobile applications. The acquisition expands the Netpulse platform to an additional 700 clubs in the U.S. Kelly Sweeney, co-founder and former president of Club Apps, will join the Netpulse team as Vice President of Sales.

Sweeney has extensive experience as a fitness industry executive. Prior to founding Club Apps, Sweeney was VP of Sales and Marketing at ABC Financial where she excelled at driving revenue and business results for her team and clients.

"The product platform and the team Netpulse has built is absolutely amazing," said Sweeney. "I'm excited to be able to bring the Netpulse platform to our Club Apps clients and introduce new features and services. The enhanced mobile experience will help to further engage members and generate revenue."

Bryan Arp, Netpulse co-founder and CEO, stated, "Mobile has increasingly become the center of consumers' fitness experience and one of the main touch points with the club's brand. This acquisition increases our platform reach and makes Netpulse the largest provider of club-branded mobile applications globally."

The Netpulse platform brings the mobile experience for members to an entirely new level. In addition to standard mobile app features, Netpulse allows for the seamless integration with a club's own systems, fitness equipment, and apps and devices, to allow members to connect with the club's brand... wherever they go.

Netpulse recently announced a $18.6 million funding round in September 2014. Netpulse-enabled products and mobile applications can be found in thousands of clubs in over 30 countries including leading brands like Equinox, Crunch Fitness, Gold's Gym, Retro Fitness, and top universities, corporate fitness centers and YMCAs.
