Netuitive to Address Virtualization Performance Management Challenges at VMworld Europe 2008

RESTON, VA--(Marketwire - February 26, 2008) - Self-learning performance management leader, Netuitive, Inc., will present a live session at VMworld Europe 2008 on Thursday, February 28, to discuss key challenges and hidden risks associated with virtualization deployments. The discussion will focus on the complexity that VMs (Virtual Machines) present in terms of managing performance and will provide clear-cut recommendations for companies looking to implement a virtualization strategy.

When: Thursday, February 28 at 1PM GMT

Where: VMworld Europe 2008, Cannes, France

The session, "The Hidden Cost of VM Management: How to Manage Performance in Constantly Changing Environments," presented by Neil McGowan, technical director for Netuitive Europe, will highlight the increased complexity that VMs bring to the performance management table. Automation and self-learning technologies -- and how they are becoming critical factors for managing VMs -- will play a significant role in the discussion. Specific points of the talk will include:

-- How to take the guesswork out of VMware performance management

-- How to readily identify "badly behaving" VMs

-- How to quickly isolate problem root causes in virtual systems

-- Why traditional monitoring tools can't deliver in virtual environments

-- How threshold administration for ESX servers, guest VMs and applications
can be automated for successful performance management
