Netuitive Introduces Enhanced Visibility and Scalability With Netuitive SI 4

Company Rolls out Industry's Most Intuitive UI for Managing Thousands of System Elements Across the Enterprise

RESTON, VA--(Marketwire - September 10, 2007) - Netuitive, Inc. today announced the newest version of its self-learning performance management software for systems management, Netuitive SI 4. With this release, Netuitive adds enhanced UI scalability with hierarchical visualization and "smart groups" to enable easy, intuitive management of thousands of system elements across the enterprise. In addition, new role-based access control, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) support and personalized dashboards enable administrators to build groups and views according to operational responsibility. With this new release, Netuitive SI 4 meets both the scalability and manageability requirements for the world's largest IT organizations.

"The user interface for Netuitive SI now matches the power and scalability of the underlying technology," says Nicola Sanna, president and CEO of Netuitive. "Netuitive is not satisfied to just have the best self-learning technology. We also want to have the most usable, intuitive platform for performance management."

Today's IT infrastructure management is a confusing, chaotic place and the current generations of tools are inadequate for addressing it. A recent poll by analyst firm Gartner cited that 70% of operations executives rate their current systems management products from the "Big Four" (BMC, CA, HP and IBM) as either a C or D. Organizations are clamoring for a technology that helps organize and manage massive amounts of information, that also provides customized views across the lines of both business and IT. SI 4 brings a 'method to the madness' by allowing customers to not only view, but also group and manage all system elements from a single, customized user interface. Netuitive SI administrators can now create "smart groups" that dynamically detect new system elements, and then easily set up user permissions for the groups by mapping roles from an LDAP directory. End users can then create personalized views, based upon user preferences and permissions.

With its latest release, Netuitive continues to innovate and accomplish what no other performance management software has been able to do to date: Apply advanced mathematics and automated analysis to automate time-consuming and error-prone manual tasks for systems, services and virtualization management. Version 4 builds on Netuitive SI's ability to help IT organizations identify, forecast and resolve problems before they impact quality of service by providing customers with the tools necessary to navigate through and organize massive amounts of information housed within IT. New features in Netuitive SI 4 include:

-- Hierarchical & Smart Groups: Netuitive SI 4 enables administrators to
organize their IT infrastructure components into functional and/or
geographical groupings for monitoring complex IT environments. Smart Groups
dynamically associate newly discovered servers into functional and/or
    geographical groupings.
-- Personalized Dashboards: Netuitive SI 4 provides users with the
flexibility of managing and monitoring the infrastructure according to
their own needs. Users can now create personalized views of their assigned
areas of responsibility, composed of groups and/or managed elements.
-- Role-based Access Control: Netuitive SI 4 provides role-based access
control to permit and/or restrict user access to functional and
geographical groupings based on their assigned role(s) within the
    organization.
-- LDAP User Authentication: Netuitive SI 4 can leverage LDAP
directories such as Microsoft Active Directory or Novell eDirectory to
manage user account information and passwords.

"Advanced analytical capabilities for problem resolution, trending, SLA management and many other areas will be the wave of the future and are already a substantial part of present-day IT thinking in many leading organizations," says Dennis Drogseth, vice president at analyst firm Enterprise Management Associates. "While assimilation of advanced heuristics across most of the platform vendors to date has been spotty, innovators like Netuitive are providing compelling solutions that accurately reveal what heretofore has been mostly guesswork. And as advanced technologies in virtualization and application design take hold, the need for speed and precision in diagnostics and planning will only become more critical."
