Network Equipment Technologies to Exhibit at National Guard Bureau Joint C41 Conference

NET Federal to Showcase Products Enabling Government Customers to Benefit From Enterprise Solutions for Collaboration and Secure Voice Communication

FREMONT, CA--(Marketwire - December 6, 2010) - Network Equipment Technologies, Inc. ("NET") (NASDAQ: NWK) announced today that NET Federal will exhibit at the National Guard Bureau Joint C4I Conference, booth 529 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Resort in Nashville, TN, on December 6-8, 2010. The 2010 conference theme, "Joint Solutions-Turning Stovepipes into Clouds," focuses on enterprise solutions improving collaboration efforts for the future.

NET Federal will demonstrate its JITC certified Deployed Network Element (D-NE) Voice Exchange (VX) Product Series with integrated Session Border Controller (SBC) features. The VX Series interworks with legacy PBXs and next generation IP-based voice platforms. Optimized for government use, the VX Series provides advanced MLPP, SCIP Relay, and security features that are in line with the new AS-SIP UCR definition. The VX Series provides advanced frame packing and elastic buffering for unmatched bandwidth savings.

Additionally, the VX Series offers a robust implementation of V.150 Universal Modem Relay that communicates between the newly deployed secure IP phones, such as the Sectéra® vIPer™ Universal Secure phone from General Dynamics C4 Systems, and secure analog communications devices. NET and General Dynamics will demonstrate this dynamic capability by having a Sectéra vIPer in the General Dynamics booth (booth 415) communicating with a SCIP Sectéra Wireline Terminal (SWT) in the NET booth using V.150 Universal Modem Relay.

The VX Series has been proven by use in Department of Defense, NATO, and first responder deployments. The VX Series product line has been selected by the Federal Government to enable next-generation voice features and to continue to capitalize on existing voice assets while assuring the strict security and reliability standards required in DoD voice systems.
